Village
A web app that helps create a custom group of neighbors and friends so that they can ask for help, offer it, and show up for each other.
Each village is its own shared space with a bulletin board for requests and offers, an events calendar with RSVPs and volunteer tasks, and a directory of the people in the village. I designed and built this as a single-file web app with access to demo content so visitors can try it without signing up.
Inspiration
Why create this?
Existing neighborhood networks like Nextdoor sort people by address boundary. Village starts from the people instead: anyone can build a village of any size, from a whole neighborhood to one building or a few trusted families, and invite who they want.
